2018 Winter Paralympics Pyeongchang Highlights of Day 5

Cross Country Skiing 

Ukrainian-born American athlete Oksana Masters won Gold in the women cross-country skiing competition. Oksana had very humble beginnings as she was born in an orphanage 20 years ago but today she overcame the possibility of wining Gold for her country. A truly inspirational woman.

Meanwhile, in the men’s section Alexandr Kolyadin claimed Kazakhstan’s first ever Paralympic Gold medal. While a dramatic finish gave Canada and Finland a reason to cheer as photo finish confirmed that both countries had won a bronze medal.

2018 Winter Paralympics Pyeongchang Highlights of Day 4

Alpine Skiing 

Slovakian born, Henrieta Farkasova claimed her 4th Gold medal in her 4th game and made her country proud by leading from the front. Japanese, Momoka Muraoka won her first major career Gold; This was also Japan’s first medal in Pyeongchang.

In the men’s section Theo Gmur won another Gold Medal and posted his hattrick in the Alpine Skiing event. Jesper Pedersen of Norway wasn’t going to leave anything behind as he registered a huge win on his debut!
