6th PGF Ladies Amateur Golf C’ship 2023: Parkha Wins Individual & Punjab Lifts Team Title

Parkha Ijaz secured top honours in Gold Category while Shabana Waheed was the best player in Silver Category and Mrs Minna Zainab emerged as the premier one in Bronze Category of the 6^th PGF Ladies Amateur Golf Championship that concluded at Lahore Gymkhana Golf Course. Also amongst the winning honours was Mrs Amber Javed, senior amateur lady golfer and Nabeeha Nafees, junior girls section.

In team event, the Punjab Golf Team won the Inter Provincial Golf Team Title after a tough competition with the Sind Team.

Performance wise Parkha Ijaz came up with three round scores of 77, 80 and 80 and a total of gross 237, for the PGF Ladies Championship. This score accredited her with the Gross first position in the handicap category 0-12. Second gross position was acquired by Rimsha Ijaz, also from Defence Raya. Her three rounds scores were 78, 81 and 84, aggregate adding upto 243. Aanniya Farooq of Karachi Golf Club ended up third and she lost the second position to Rimsha by just one stroke.

In the race in Silver category the champion performer was Shahbana Waheed of Lahore Garrison. Shahzadi  Gulfam was second and Professor Dr Shaheen Irfan third.

Minna Zainab was in full control in the competitive race in Bronze Category. She managed to completely outshine her rivals and topped the honours list in Bronze. Other positions went to Aliha Amjad and Sobia Waseem.

2nd Fatima Jinnah Ladies Golf C’ship 2022: Parkha ‘Champion’ Proves Her Class

In the Inter Association Team match between Punjab, Sind and Federal Golf Team, the Punjab Team comprising of Parkha Ijaz, Rimsha Ijaz, Ghazala Yasmin and Suneya Osama beat Sind Team by a one stroke margin and thus emerged as the Champions. Sind Team comprised of Dania Syed, Aania Farooq, Abiha Syed and Tabasum Sharif.

At the conclusion of the 6^th PGF  Ladies Amateur Golf Tournament, the prizes were awarded to the ladies by Mian Misbah ur Rehman, Shaukat Javed, Convenor Golf, Ayesha Hamid in a ceremony attended by  participating ladies.
