The WBSC – World Baseball Softball Confederation announced that the first U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup 2021, hosting rights have been awarded to Argentina.

After the 9th Men’s Softball World Championship 2012 held in Parana, this will be the second softball world cup to be hosted by Argentina.

The first edition of the U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup, will have 12 teams from countries spread over in five continents as follows: Africa (1); Americas (4); Asia (2); Europe (2); Oceania (2); Wild Card (1).

The qualification procedural system will be announced by each continental confederation for the World Cup. Argentina being a major men’s softball powerhouses is ranked number 2 in the world and currently hold the men’s softball world championship crown.
