The World No. 1 tennis player Novak Djokovic won the Italian Open 2020, by defeating World No. 8 D. Schwartzman 2-0 (7-5, 6-3) in the final match.

The tournament has a prize money of € 5.9 million and was held in Rome from 12th to 21st September. The Italian Open is part of ATP Association of Tennis Professionals Tour Masters 1000.

Earlier, Novak Djokovic qualified for the finals by beating C Rud 2-0 (7-5, 6-3).

During the quarter finals Novak Djokovic won from D. Koepfer 2-1 (6-3, 4-6, 6-3).

In the recent past, Novak won the Western and Southern Open 2020. However, Novak Djokovic was disqualified from playing the final stages of the US Open 2020 as his ball hit line judge during the match.
