The organizing body of IPL-Indian Premier League 2020, moreover, confirmed that the tournament will be held from 19th September to 10th November in UAE. According to media a BCCI official who wanted to remain anonymous stated that the decision of holding the event UAE has been decided by the Governing Body of IPL. However, they are not officially announcing till the Indian government takes a final decision.

Furthermore, BCCI with the help of a Dubai group are arranging for a medical facility in UAE. In addition, to contain Corona Virus negotiations are on with Tata Group to create a Bio Bubble.

Following are the salient features of IPL in UAE:

1- The confirmed schedule of IPL 2020 is 19 September to 10 November.

2- 8 teams will be participating.

3. Each team will be authorised maximum 24 players.

4- The Teams will be allowed to leave for UAE after 26th August.

5- The starting time for evening matches will be 7:30 pm IST (Indian Standard Time).

6- The 53 days tournament will have 10 double headers.

7- Due to the corona virus the SOP’s Standard Operating Procedures are being finalized. Bio Bubble will be developed in 2 venues for the tournament. It is confirmed that any player affected from the virus will be replaced. Spectators are not allowed till mid October and further decision will be taken then as per situation.

8- Along with the men’s IPL 2020, four teams of Women will play Women’s IPL T20 from 1st to 10th November.

9- Local Chinese and other sponsors will contribute for the tournament.

10- The final of the IPL will be played on 10th November.
