After the announcement of the Premier League’s resumption from 17th June, the FA-Football
Association Challenge Cup has also revealed that the domestic cup shall resume from the last
weekend of June.

The FA cup had been postponed due to the pandemic and the following quarter-finals remain to be played:

  • Leicester City vs Chelsea FC
  • Norwich City vs Manchester United
  • Sheffield United vs Arsenal
  • Newcastle United vs Manchester City

The quarter-finals shall be held on the last weekend (27th -28th) of June, however, the timings and the venues details will be announced soon.

The semi-finals will then take place on the weekend of 11th -12th July. The finalists of the Cup shall then face each other three weeks later, on 1 st August 2020.

It was earlier rumoured that the final of the Premier League would take place on 2nd August, but with this announcement it is clear that it shall take place on another date.

The CEO-Chief Executive Officer of the FA Cup, Mark Bullingham, has thanked the management of
the Clubs and the Premier League for cooperating with them to establish this restart date. He also
mentioned that health of the players, staff and the supporters is their top-most priority and the
resumption shall go on as planned if all safety measures are observed.
