Fifa World Cup 2018 is upon us and a total of 32 countries are participating in this mega event of football. Squads and news regarding player’s inclusion have started doing rounds in the media.

The teams which have announced their squads include: Argentina, Spain, Portugal and England.

Argentina

Argentina’s 23-man squad for world cup has been announced. Many players were not selected by their coach Jorge Sampaoli including Inter Milan’s striker Mario Icardi.

It was a shocking news as Icardi has scored 29 goals for his club this season but he wasn’t selected by Sampaoli.

Many players like Leandro Paredes (midfielder of Zenit St. Petersburg), Ramiro Funes Mori of Everton and Lautaro Martinez who was scoring goals for his country were also left out from the squad.

Alvaro Morata, Former Real Madrid player, hasn’t made the list including Marcos Alonso, Cesc Fabregas and Hector Bellerin.

England coach (Gareth Southgate) has announced his 23-man squad for World Cup 2018. Harry Kane (Tottenham hotspur), who scored 30 goals this season after Mohamed Salah who finished at 32, is declared the captain of England for World Cup in Russia.

Kane after being announced the captain said that it would be special for me to lead my team in the Fifa World Cup.
