Haris Rauf

Pakistan’s pace sensation Haris Rauf once again proved his bowling mettle by claiming a hat-trick representing Melbourne Stars at their home ground, the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Rauf finished the bowling spell with 3/23 after claiming his hat-trick in the death over restricting them to 145/5 after he dismissed set batsman Matthew Gilkes for 42.

The 26-year-old right-arm fast bowler then bowled out Thunders’ captain Callum Ferguson and then wrapped up the sensational hat-trick with an lbw of Daniel Sams promptly given by the umpire.

This was, in fact, the second hat-trick of the day as earlier Afghan spinner Rashid Khan had managed the feat for Adelaide Strikers

Rauf also made headlines today with his quickfire deliveries the fastest one clocking at 151.3kph.

The Pakistani origin pacer was ecstatic to put up a fantastic performance calling it ‘his dream come true’ and vowed to keep up the same brilliance for his national side as well.

Rauf has been having an excellent Big Bash season with Melbourne Stars picking up 13 wickets in just four matches conceding no more than 6 runs per wicket.
