The Kabbadi fever is there with all the International Kabaddi teams from India, Canada, Australia, Sierra Leone, Germany, Azerbaijan, Iran and England having arrived in Lahore to participate in Kabaddi World Cup 2020.

The 10-nation mega Kabaddi World Cup tournament will be held from 9th to 16 February, 2020 with a grand opening ceremony at Punjab Stadium, Lahore on Sunday, 9th February.

The captains while interacting with the media, were very content of the arrangements.

Indian Kabaddi team captain Gurlal Singh said: β€œWe are excited to participate in Kabaddi World Cup in Pakistan. We feel at home as there is no difference of culture and lifestyle. The matches between Pakistan and India will be worth-watching during Kabaddi World Cup.”

Iranian and Azerbaijan skippers also expressed their satisfaction and eagerness to be in Pakistan to compete in the 2020 Kabaddi World Cup.

Pakistan captain Muhammad Irfan has expressed his determination to offer excellent game during the grand event. He said, β€œOur team is better prepared for the big tournament and we will not disappoint Pakistan Kabaddi fans at home grounds. We have international level players like Shafiq Chishti, Musharraf Janjua and Akmal Dogar in our squad and we are quite upbeat to demonstrate best Kabaddi during the World Cup.”

PKF – Pakistan Kabbadi Federation, secretary Mr. Rana Sarwar, also informed that all the matches of Kabaddi World Cup will be organized in a transparent manner. β€œFor this purpose, International Kabaddi Federation has deputed observers and neutral match referees for the matches of Kabaddi World Cup 2020”

Kabaddi World Cup is being organized jointly by Punjab government, SBP – Sports Board Punjab and PKF – Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) in three cities of Punjab, Pakistan – Lahore, Faisalabad and Gujrat.
