Highlights:

  • A goalless draw was the fate of the first match between Southampton and Burnley as Joe Hart made several good saves on his Premier League debut.

  • In the first half, Burnley appeared to be dominant with the ball, and an early effort by Jack Cork could have put them in the lead, but it was called an off-side.
  • Burnley kept their attacking mode on, but a Jeff Hendrik header and close range shot from Aaron Lennon was successfully saved by Alex McCarthy.

  • In the 2nd half, Southampton now came to the scene, continuing their attacks on a regular basis, only to get stopped by the debutante Joe Hart.

  • Jack Stephens came close to scoring and also did Ben Mee, however both did not cross Burnley FC’s strong defense.
  • The newest inclusion from Liverpool, Danny Ings was substituted into the attack. And although he added some variety to the attack, the deadlock remained unbroken.
  • And, the match ended with the score being 0-0, as both teams hailed each other’s performances in the post match conference.

Highlights:

  • Liverpool’s dominant victory over West Ham was the highlight of today’s matches of the ongoing Premier League.
  • In the first half, the Premier League’s Golden Boot winner of last season, Mohamed Salah converted an assist from Robertson to put his team in the lead.

  • The lead was almost doubled 5 minutes later by Trent Alexander-Arnold, however West Ham’s goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski was excellent in diverting the free kick.
  • Play continued and then it was Sadio Mane who struck in the first halve’s injury time, by converting James Milner, volley into a goal.

  • The first half ended with Liverpool in the lead by 2-0.
  • The best chance for West Ham to score came at the 49th minute, however Michail Antonio’s volley could not find the back of the net and flew over the bar.
  • 8 minutes into the 2nd half, Sadio Mane converted a quick pass from Roberto Firmino into his 2nd goal of the Premier League season.
  • ‘The Reds’ continued their attacking mentality as Daniel Sturridge who was substituted in for Mohamed Salah, scored immediately, courtesy of Milner’s corner and Rober Snodgrass excellent touch.

  • West Ham were outplayed in every department, as Liverpool won their 27th match against West Ham, which is the most they have won against any team in the Premier League history.
