Highlights
- Southhampton faced Swansea City as the two teams intended to put another win on their points table.
- So, the match started and both teams looked tense, engrossing and scrappy. In the 1st half Southhampton’s forward Austin was denied two chances for scoring a goal by the opponent’s goal-keeper.
- On the other hand, Swansea also applied pressure by lobbing plenty of crosses in the box but they also couldn’t score any goal in the 1st half.
- There was not much off a difference in terms of stats apart from possession of the ball in which Swansea City were slightly ahead.
- After the break, the 2nd half went underway as both teams looked to score the opening goal of the match.
- So, after much tries at each other goals, Southhampton’s Gabbiadini who came in the match as a substitute scored a goal at the 72nd minute as Southhampton marched ahead.
- Swansea City tried to level the scoreboard but couldn’t do so as Southhampton’s defence proved too much for them.
