Mixed Doubles

Double’s: Jean-Julien Roger and Demi Schuurs vs Ben Mclachlan and Eri Hozumi

Result: Jean-Julien Roger and Demi Schuurs defeated Ben Mclachlan and Eri Hozumi by 6-4, 6-1.

Highlights:

  • Although, Ben Mclachlan and Eri Hozumi took a perfect start as they took the lead of the first set but they failed to extend it large enough for the opponent pair.
  • Jean-Julien Roger and Demi Schuurs not only took the lead after some time but they were scoring points at a very fast pace.

  • But in the end, Jean-Julien Roger and Demi Schuurs snatched the victory from them in the opening set of the match as Ben Mclachlan and Eri Hozumi lost some points on their serve.
  • In the second set, Jean-Julien Roger and Demi Schuurs opened the scoring of the set this time and were playing confidently.

  • However, in the end, Ben Mclachlan and Eri Hozumi again faced defeat as they both were only able to score a single point throughout the set.
  • Both the pairs made the same number of points(3) on aces and same number of double faults(1), but still the Japanese, Ben Mclachlan and Eri Hozumi failed to won a single set from their opponent.

  • Jean-Julien Roger and Demi Schuurs made it to the Quarter finals of Wimbledon 2018 where there next match is yet to be decided.

 

Wimbledon 2018: Singles – Quarter Finals

Double’s: Latisha Chan and Ivan Dodig vs Heather Watson and Henri Kontinen

Result: Latisha Chan and Ivan Dodig defeated Heather Watson and Henri Kontinen by 6-2, 7-6(4).

Highlights:

  • Latisha Chan and Ivan Dodig took a perfect start in the opening set of the match by taking the lead.

  • However, they manage to won the set in the end as Heather Watson and Henri Kontinen were only able to score a total of two points throughout the set.
  • In the next set, a sensational fight was witnessed between the two pairs as the set eventually came to a tie-breaker after the scores were equlaized at both sides 6-6.

  • But again, Latisha Chan and Ivan Dodig won the set as Heather Watson and Henri Kontinen dropped some points on their serve in the end.
  • Both the pairs made the same number of points(3) on aces and same number of double faults(1), but still Heather Watson and Henri Kontinen failed to won a single set from Latisha Chan and Ivan Dodig.  

  • Latisha Chan and Ivan Dodig finally sealed their place into the Quarter finals of Wimbledon 2018 where their next match is still to be decided.
