#4 Bret Hart

WWE

In 1993, Hulk Hogan left WWE and this is when several superstars namely, Vince McMahon, Diesel and Lex Luger tried to take his place. Some failed while others found their short-lived success, but none could get to the level of Hulk Hogan, mainly because they lacked the charisma of the Hulkster.

This is when Bret Hart emerged to the big stage i.e. WWE. Bret did not possess great mic skills nor was he the biggest superstar of his time. However, his undying passion for WWE combined with his immaculate in-ring skills made him the best in the business.

Nicknamed as the ‘Hitman’, Bret Hart found success through his well-rounded performances and his excellent technique. These two factors skyrocketed his popularity which helped him to revolutionise the sport and break several prejudices regarding the image of a WWE superstar in people’s minds.
