For the ITF international team competitions, to be held during 2022 the Pakistan Tennis Federation has announced the teams.
As part of the Junior development program, trials were held at PTF Complex and based on the national and international ranking performances of each player, the best players for the respective age categories were selected.
On 4th and 5th of March 2022, trials will be held to select the Davis Cup team, for the matches against Lithuania at Pakistan Sports Board, Islamabad. The trials will be held on the grass courts of Cosmopolitan Club, Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore, from 16th February 2022.
The top 6 players as per the latest PTF Men’s Singles ranking will take part in these trials, out of which 3 players will be selected for the team. Aisam ul Haq and Aqeel Khan have been exempted from the trials.
The players invited to participate in the trials are: 1. Muhammad Shoaib 2. Muzammil Murtaza 3. Muhammad Abid 4. Yusuf Khalil 5. Mudasir Murtaza 6. Heera Ashiq.
