The 1st PTF Coaching Advanced Players Course 2022 commenced at the PTF-SDA Tennis Complex, Islamabad. Organised by PTF-Pakistan Tennis Federation the course will be conducted from 18th July till 29th July 2022.

This is the first ever CAP Course being organized in Pakistan, and will eventually lead to PTF’s Coach Education being recognized by the ITF at the Silver level. Currently, Pakistan is at the Bronze level.

The course teaches the latest concepts of modern coaching, encompassing technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects.

A total of 24 candidates are participating in the course, who have met one of the ITF eligibility criteria which are: 1. successfully completed the ITF Coaching Beginners and Intermediate Players Course, 2. being in the Pakistan Men’s/Women’s team, or 3. having ITF/ATP/WTA points. The candidates have to spend 80 hours on court and in the lecture room, having completed 6 hours of online pre-requisite courses prior to the start of the course.

PTF National Development Director Mr. Asim Shafik, ITF Coaching High-Performance Players (Level 3) Certified coach, is the lead tutor of the course and is being assisted by ITF Level 2 certified coaches Mr. Noman Ul Haq, Muhammad Nameer Shamsi, and Sara Mansoor.

The course participation includes current and former Davis Cup players, young coaches, and seven coaches from Pakistan who are working abroad.
