  • In the second set, Ivan Dodig and Latisha Chan opened the scoring of the set this time and were playing confidently.

Result: Harriet Dart and Jay Clarke defeated Juan Sebastian Cabal and Abigail Spears by 7-6(10), 7-5.

Highlights:

  • An absolute and sensational performance was witnessed between Harriet Dart and Jay Clarke defeated Juan Sebastian Cabal and Abigail Spears throughout the match.

  • Both the pairs were scoring points confidently in the In the opening set of the match as they both took the lead after some time.
  • However, after a brilliant performance was seen between the two pairs, the set eventually came to a tie-breaker after the scores were equalized at both sides 6-6.

Wimbledon 2018: Men’s Doubles – Semi Finals

Double’s: Jamie Murray and Victoria Azarenka vs Jean-Julien Roger and Demi Schuurs

Result: Jamie Murray and Victoria Azarenka defeated Jean-Julien Roger and Demi Schuurs by 4-6, 7-5, 7-5.

Highlights:

  • Jamie Murray and Victoria Azarenka defeated Jean-Julien Roger and Demi Schuurs gave their best against each other in both the sets.
  • Jamie Murray and Victoria Azarenka were scoring points confidently in the opening set of the match and it looked they could seal their victory in this set.

  • However, after some time, Jean-Julien Roger and Demi Schuurs started scoring points at a very fast pace and took the lead.
  • And in the end, Jean-Julien Roger and Demi Schuurs finally won the opening set as they did not let Jamie Murray and Victoria Azarenka to score the last two points first in quick succession.

  • An eye catching performance was also witnessed in the second set as both the pairs were scoring points at a very fast pace one after the other.

  • The score reached 5-5 after a resilient fight between the two pairs.
  • But in the end, it was Jamie Murray and Victoria Azarenka this time as they successfully managed to win the set by scoring the last two points in a quick succession.

  • But in the end, Jamie Murray and Victoria Azarenka finally gave them defeat and made it to the semi finals of Wimbledon 2018.

  • Although, Jean-Julien Roger and Demi Schuurs made more points on an ace(13) and made less double faults(3) as compared to Jamie Murray and Victoria Azarenka who made only six points on an ace and made a total of four double faults, but still they lost the both sets.
  • Jamie Murray and Victoria Azarenka finally made it to the Semi finals of the Wimbledon 2018 where they will now play against Harriet Dart and Jay Clarke.

Suspended Match:

The match was to be played between Nicole Melichar and Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares and Ekaterina Makarova. But due to some injury factor, Bruno Soares and Ekaterina Makarova retired from the Wimbledon 2018. Nicole Melichar and Alexander Peya advanced to the Semi finals of Wimbledon 2018 where they will now play against Katarina Srebotnik and Michael Venus.
