Double’s: Jack Sock and Mike Bryan vs Franko Skugor and Dominic Inglot

Result: Jack Sock and Mike Bryan defeated Franko Skugor and Dominic Inglot by 6-3, 6-1, 6-7(11), 6-7(4), 6-4.

Highlights:

  • Jack Sock and Mike Bryan took a perfect start in the opening set of the match as they took the lead with a powerful forehand shot.
  • Franko Skugor and Dominic Inglot were also scoring points at a fast pace and were looking confident while playing.

  • However, Franko Skugor and Dominic Inglot failed to claim the victory in this set in the end as Jack Sock and Mike Bryan did not let them to score more than a total of three points throughout the set.

  • In the second set, Franko Skugor and Dominic Inglot faced a humiliating defeat from Jack Sock and Mike Bryan as they failed to score more than a single point throughout the set.
  • The third set started after some time and both the pairs were scoring points at a very fast pace this time.

  • However, after a tough fight, the set eventually came to a tie-breaker after the scores were levelled at both sides 6-6.
  • But this time, Franko Skugor and Dominic Inglot won the set on the tie-break and the match moved on to the fourth set.

  • After a sensational battle was witnessed, the fourth set also came to a tie-breaker in the end.
  • And again Franko Skugor and Dominic Inglot gave defeat to Jack Sock and Mike Bryan as they both dropped some points on their serve.

  • However, after a tough fight in the decisive set, Jack Sock and Mike Bryan scored the last two points in quick succession and successfully managed to secure their place in the finals of Wimbledon 2018.
  • Jack Sock and Mike Bryan finally sealed their place into the finals of Wimbledon 2018 where they will now play against Michael Venus and Raven Klaasen for the title.
