La Liga

Ten more matches were decided in the Spanish top league on Matchday 33 of 38. The results are given below.

Points Tables Overview

Barcelona stay at top with 82 points. Atletico Madrid have leapfrogged Real Madrid for the 2nd spot and now have 69 points. Real Madrid are 3rd with 68 points and Real Sociedad 4th with 58 points. The teams in relegation zone are Getafe (34), Espanyol (31) and Elche (16).

Matchday 34 of 38 will start on 13th May.

Ligue 1

Matchday 33 of 38 was completed in France’s top league. Ten matches were played. There were surprises as PSG and Monaco lost against lower ranked opponents. Here are the results;

Points Tables Overview

PSG continue to lead with 75 points. Marseille are at 2nd with 70 points. Lens are 3rd with 69 and Monaco on 4th with 61 points on the table. At the bottom, Troyes (22), Ajaccio (22) and Angers (14) are almost sure to be relegated. Matchday 34 will start today.                                                                                                        

English Premier League

Five matches were played in the middle of the week. 2 matches were played for Matchday 34 of 38 on 2nd May and three matches on 3rd May were played from leftover Matchday 28 . Bottom teams Leicester City and Everton settled for a draw on Wednesday as Arsenal bagged much awaited three points against Chelsea who have lost their last four matches on the trot. On Thursday’s three matches, Manchester City easily defeated West Ham United. Erwin Haaland scored the 2nd goal and became the record holder of English Premier League. He has 35 goals to his credit in the current season and still five matches to go for MC. Manchester United spoiled a great opportunity to consolidate their position at No. 4 as they played a highly disjointed and defensive game against a determined Brighton. Penalty awarded to BHA in the last minute of 2nd Half Injury time was indeed heartbreaking for MU fans. Manchester City have displaced Arsenal from the top of the table. Results are given below.

Points Tables Overview

Manchester City have pushed down Arsenal with 79 points from 33 games. Arsenal are now second placed with 78 from 34 games. Newcastle United are 3rd at 65 points from 33 games and Manchester United are 4th with 63 points from 33 games. Leicester City managed to come out of the bottom shift and presently, Nottingham Forest (30), Everton (29) and Southampton (24) are in the relegation zone.

Matchday 35 will start on Friday the 5th May.

Bundusliga

Matchday 31 of 34 will start today. After completion of 30 matches, Bayern have regained their position at the top, having 62 points. Dortmund with 61 points are 2nd. Union Berlin are at 3rd spot with 56 points and SC Freiburg are at 4th position also with 56 points. Teams in the relegation zone are VfL Bochum (28), Schalke (27) and Hertha (22).

Serie A

Matchday 33 of 38 witnessed 10 contests. The results are given below;

All the teams have played 33 matches each. Napoli continue to lead with 80 points. Lazio are second with 64 points. Juventus are 3rd with 63 and Inter are 4th with 60 points. Bottom three teams Verona (27), Cremonese (21) and Sampdoria (17) are in the relegation zone unless they make dramatic strides in their remaining matches.
