English Premier League

Newcastle United defeated Manchester United 2 – 0 and pushed them down to fourth position on the table. Both teams have played 27 matches each and have same 50 points with Newcastle United occupying third position due to better goal difference. J. Willcock and C. Wilson scored for the winners in 65th and 88th minutes. In another match, West Ham United inflicted 1 – 0 defeat on Southampton. Arsenal tops the table with 72 points and Manchester City occupies second place with 64 points having played one game less than the leaders.

La Liga

In the Spanish top league, five matches were played. The results are given below.

  • Celta Vigo 2 – 2 Elmeria
  • Real Madrid 6 – 0 Valladolid
  • Villarreal 2 – 0 Real Sociedad
  • Atletico Madrid 1 – 0 Real Betis

Points Tables Overview

On the points table, Barcelona are the clear leaders with 71 points. Next three positions are occupied by Real Madrid (59), Atletico Madrid (54) and Real Sociedad (48).

Bundesliga

In the German top league, two matches were played. Koln and Monchengladbach played a goalless draw whereas Hoffenheim defeated Werder by a margin of 2 – 1. On the points table, Bayern Munich is leading with 55 points, closely followed by Dortmund with 53 points. Union Berlin and SC Freiburg occupy third and fourth positions with 51 and 47 points respectively.

Serie A

Three matches were decided in Italy’s top league. Here are the results.

  • Roma 3 – 0 Sampdoria
  • Lazio 2 – 0 Monza

Napoli have a clear lead at the points table with 71. Lazio with 55 points are second. Milan occupy third position with 51 and Inter are fourth with 50 points.

Ligue 1

In French top league, three matches were decided. Scores are given below.

  • Lyon 1 – 0 PSG
  • Monaco 4 – 3 Strasbourg
  • Clermont Foot 2 – 1 Ajaccio

Despite the defeat in their last match, PSG are top of the table with 66 points followed by Lens with 60 points. Marseille with 60 and Monaco with 57 points occupy third and fourth positions respectively.
