Pakistan’s squash player Maria Toorpakai Wazir has been selected by International Olympic Committee (IOC) in its sports commission where she will be assisting the committee in make policies for betterment of women in Olympics.

According to details, Maria has become a part of those 38 percent members which will represent women in IOC.  IOC had increased the female quota in the commissions in 2013.

Maria Toorpakai Wazir declared her inclusion in sports commission an honor for herself and her country, and said that Pakistan will get lot of benefits from this development.

Maria hailed originally from Waziristan . In 2009, she won third place in the world junior women’s squash championship. In 2011, she migrated to Canada to train with Jonathon Power and rose to career best ranking of 56 last year.
