• With 351 runs to win this test and 5 wickets in hand, South Africa resumed play, relying solely on De Bruyn and Bavuma.
• For Sri Lanka, Herath and Perera began to bowl from each end respectively.
• The batting pair defied the spinners and brought up the fifty run partnership between them. During this stand, De Bruyn reached his half century.

• Sri Lanka brought Akila Dananjaya into the attack and after some time the Sri Lankan captain, Lakmal also joined him from the other end.
• However, the pair’s resistance continued as Bavuma also reached his half century nad subsequently, the century stand came up.

• This partnership went on to 123 runs after which Herath struck and got the wicket of Bavuma.

• Quinton De Kock joined De Bruyn. The wicket keeper could only last one over as Herath took his wicket and lunch was called on Day 4 of this test.

• Post lunch, Rabada joined De Bruyn. 10 runs later, the new ball was taken by Sri Lanka.
• The batting pair added 30 more runs to the total as De Buryn reached his maiden century with a boundary.
• However, he lost his wicket in the same over to Rangana Herath who completed his 34th five wicket hauls.

BOWLED. Soon after recording his maiden Test ton, Herath brings an end to De Bruyn’s knock. He’s gone for 101. Outstanding effort by him, take a bow!

• The next two wickets fell in consecutive overs. First, Rabada gave his wicket to Perera followed by Herath who claimed the wicket of Steyn to win the match and series for Sri Lanka.
